Assignment Details
This full-time position is available from April until at least May half term, with the strong potential to be extended through to the end of the summer term (to be reviewed at half term).
The school is seeking a qualified and experienced Product Design and/or Design & Technology specialist to deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, deliver, and mark work in line with high departmental standards, ensuring excellent progress and outcomes for students.
The role will run Monday to Friday during standard school hours.
Please note: We are unable to consider teachers whose specialism is solely Art or Food Technology. CVs for these subjects will not be progressed.

As a Successful Qualified Teacher, You Will Need to:
• Hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Have proven experience teaching Product Design and/or Design & Technology
• Be confident in leading classes of pupils aged 11–16
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development
• Work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly
• Be ambitious, enthusiastic, and have a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
• Be able to commute to Derby and surrounding areas
