About the role
Connex Education is recruiting for a Qualified Teacher to work on a one to one basis with a student in Quinton who is not attending Primary School. The KS2 student has a diagnosis of Autism and an EHCP, therefore experience working with students of a similar nature is vital. Historical assessments of this student suggest they are working at a lower level than expected.
Tuition will be based in the students home for three or four sessions per week. The sessions will focus on Primary writing, Reading, Phonics and the four primary Math’s operations through short burst and lots of learning breaks.
As a Home Tutor, it is essential that you have a dynamic teaching style and can identify areas of improvement required when working on a 1:1 basis.
Assignment Details
This role will start after the Easter Half Term and will be on an long term basis.

Person Specification
- QTS or equivalent.
- Strong ability to engage and motivate reluctant learners.
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Driving license (Preferred).
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one.
- An outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations.
