Role: School Receptionist / Administrator
Rate of pay: £110 – £120 per day
Location: Birmingham – Moseley
Full Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:00pm
**About the role**
Connex Education are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Receptionist/Administrator with experience working in a busy school environment to join a fantastic, friendly and supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and is able to hit the ground running. We also welcome applications from candidates with PA experience, as there may be opportunities to progress into a Personal Assistant role for someone who demonstrates strong capability and initiative within the position.
The school specialises in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing a dynamic, caring, and highly rewarding environment for both staff and students.
**Location**
The role involves working across three school sites, all within walking distance of each other.
Weekly rotas are issued every Friday, and flexibility is essential as movement between sites is based on operational needs.
**Key Responsibilities**

Managing front-of-house reception duties across school sites

Providing administrative support to the wider school team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

Building positive relationships with parents, staff, and visitors
-
Managing pupil attendance processes
-
Supporting safeguarding administration including DBS checks, vetting forms, letters of assurance, and reporting procedures

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring strong attention to detail in all administrative work
**Essential Skills and Experience**

Experience working within a school reception or administrative environment

Good working knowledge of:

Sign In App systems

Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong teamworking ability while also being able to work independently

A proactive approach and ability to use initiative

Understanding of school safeguarding procedures

Ability to manage a busy workload with strong organisational skills

**Role Requirements**
- Teaching assistant Qualification is Preferred but not necessary.
- Proven experience working within a SEN classroom as a Teaching Assistant.
- A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
