About the role

The role will involve mananging science classes in the absence of a teacher in secondary schools under the role of a cover supervisor, the work is in Middlesbrough and surrouding areas. With the flexibility to work 3-5 days a week you can pick which days you want to work. T

Assignment Details
Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to manage classrooms and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of regular teachers. Key duties include:
- Supervising and managing classes
- Implementing lesson plans left by absent teachers
- Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
- Managing student behavior and promoting engagement
- Providing feedback on student progress and any issues that arise
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to cover lessons

Person Specification:
- Bachelor’s degree in science required
- Strong interest in education and working with young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
- Confidence in public speaking and engaging with groups
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
- No formal teaching qualification required – full training provided
