Science/ Biology Teacher
£812.50 – £ 1060 per week depending on experience
Connex Education are seeking a Science Teacher – KS3 science/biology or Primary trained to work in a Academy school located in Bolton BL6 Area, Greater Manchester.

This SEMH Academy aims to provide an outstanding educational provision to pupils aged 11-16. Pupils attending have needs identified within an Education Health & Care Plan relating to Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.
The school offers a varied curriculum of academic, vocational and personal one to one education to ensure that its pupils have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
All staff have a clear understanding of pupils needs, they communicate well with parents and carers, going the extra mile for all pupils. Assignment details:
Experienced Science Teacher required -KS 3 science/biology
Will consider -second subject/primary trained teachers
The hours are 8.30 – 3.30/4pm Monday-Friday.
Full time starting September, for one full term initially potential for long term
Essential qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge Sciences – Biology
- Can also be Primary school trained
- Experience teaching- ks3 science/biology Primary or secondary-age students
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
Person specification:
- Excellent communication skills, Empathetic and Patient , being self-regulated and calm. With a positive supportive attitude.
- Knowledge of SEMH Understanding of SEMH issues, strategies, and interventions.
- Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
