£750 – £1,115 per week (dependent on experience)

About the role

Connex Education are working with local educational trusts in Buxton to provide staff for their secondary schools. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chemistry specialist to teach science across secondary key stages. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds and develop students’ understanding of scientific principles.

Assignment Details

Immediate start date with the potential to continue for the rest of the academic year.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have a background in Chemistry (will accept a background in physics)
• Have experience teaching secondary science (NQTs and ECTs also welcome to apply)
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
• Be passionate about inspiring scientific curiosity in young people
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a science department team
• Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one
