Job Opportunity: SEMH Tutor
Helping young people grow, cope and succeed.

Location: Birmingham⏰ Hours: [Full-time/Part-time, flexible if applicable]

Salary: [Competitive / Insert pay range]

About the Role:
We are looking for a caring, resilient SEMH Tutor to support children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many of our learners experience severe mental health challenges and display complex and challenging behaviours — so your role will be vital in providing stability, consistency and encouragement.

You will deliver tailored learning sessions, build positive relationships and help students develop skills to manage their emotions and behaviour, so they can re-engage with education and life.

What We’re Looking For:
✅ Proven experience working with pupils with severe mental health needs and challenging behaviour.
✅ Strong behaviour management strategies and a calm, consistent approach.
✅ Patience, empathy and emotional resilience.
✅ Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet individual needs.
✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
✅ Relevant teaching, tutoring or mentoring qualifications are an advantage — but passion and experience are most important.
✅ A driving licence may be needed for outreach or home-based tuition.

What We Offer:
✨ A supportive, understanding team who value your well-being.
✨ Ongoing training and CPD opportunities.
✨ Flexible working where possible.
✨ The chance to make a life-changing difference for vulnerable young people.

 How to Apply:

If you’re a qualified teacher ready to support a unique learner in Birmingham’s B31 area, we’d love to hear from you!
