We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the early years of children’s education. The role is working 1:1 with a pupil with social and emotional needs 5 monrnings per week with the potential of going permanent with the school. The school is based in WA2 area of Warrington and is more about finding the right candidate that works well with the child and the team. You will be working in a KS1 setting
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities with the children
- Provide personal care assistance, including toileting, changing, and hygiene support
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and resource management
- Work with individual children and small groups to reinforce learning
- Maintain accurate records and observations of children’s progress
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting
- Willingness and ability to provide personal care with sensitivity and professionalism
- Patient, warm, and approachable manner
- Good communication skills with children, staff, and parents
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
