I am working with a SEN School in Crewe, who are looking to recruit 2 Cover Supervisors. 1 x full time and 1x part time (Wednesday – Friday). Both roles are to start in the new academic year.
The school caters fo students with moderate learning diffculties who follow the national curriculum. The staff team here is made up of teachers, cover supervisors, speciliast teaching assistants and a medical team, all staff here work together to make sure all children are safe and stimulated, learning both social and academic skills.
As the successful applicant/s, you will be required to supervise students in the classroom, whilst they complete prepared work from the usual class teacher. You will make sure students remain on task, attend to any students needs and manage behaviour inline with the schools behavioural policy. There will also be a teaching assistant in class, and in addition to this some children will also have a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. In order to be successful in your application, it is necessary that you have previous experience working with Moderate Learning Difficulties, as well as being supportive, enthusiastic and approachable. You must have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
