About the Role:
SEND Teacher Position – Hartlepool
Connex Education is recruiting a SEND teacher for a Hartlepool educational organisation supporting pupils with learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The full-time role begins September 2025, working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm, paying up to £760 weekly (£152 daily).

The organisation supports pupils with diverse learning difficulties functioning below age expectations, offering a tailored curriculum to help each child achieve individual goals. As a SEND teacher, you’ll work in an engaging environment supporting both academic development and social-emotional growth, helping students become respectful community members.
Assignment Details:
The position involves supporting vulnerable looked-after children through personalised learning approaches. Essential requirements include comfort and experience working with young people with varied special educational needs, particularly SEND/SEMH. The role demands expertise in supporting vulnerable students with diverse learning challenges through individualised teaching methods.

As a successful SEND Teacher with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess:
- Hold a QTS Qualification
- Have experience working with individuals with SEN
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Confident in your behaviour management skills
- Calm, resilient and able to communicate well with young people
- Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one through Connex
- Be able to show proof of work in the UK
- Willing to travel between schools to provide onsite teaching support if needed
