About the Role
Connex Education is working on behalf of a Special Needs High School to recruit 5 SEN Teaching Assistants. The school is based within Northolt, West London and caters for the needs of secondary aged pupils with learning difficulties and associated communication, behavioural, sensory and physical needs. This is a full-time role to begin in September 2025 and is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and in-class support
- Help pupils access learning tasks by using visual supports, routines, and tailored strategies
- Encourage social interaction and support emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
- Monitor progress and contribute to daily observations and reports
- Promote inclusion and help pupils engage confidently in all aspects of school life
Assignment Details
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Term Time Only)
- September 2025 start.
Person Specification
- Experience supporting pupils with ALN in a school or similar setting (essential)
- Understanding of inclusive classroom practices and communication strategies
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour and learning support
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- A current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex
