About the role
Connex Education is seeking a dedicated full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for the local authority starting October 2025. This vital role, paying up from £90 – £95 per day, focuses on supporting Key Stage 1-4 students with SEMH/ Working with students who have been excluded requires exceptional patience, empathy, and specialised skills.

As a successful SEND Teaching Assistant with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess:
- Hold a relevant Qualification in SEND or Teaching Assistant
- Have experience working with individuals with SEN
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Confident in your behaviour management skills
- Calm, resilient and able to communicate well with young people
- Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one through Connex
- Team Teach trained- preferred
- Be able to show proof of work in the UK
