About the Role
Make a difference with Connex Education!
We are working closely with SEND schools across Stockport and are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with additional needs in specialist education settings.
The schools support pupils aged 2–19 with needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning disabilities, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in specialist education. Roles may include 1:1 support, small group work, or class-based assistance.
About the Schools
The schools we work with cater for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, as well as schools which cater for pupils who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Assignment details
The schools have shifts available Monday – Friday, 8.30am until 3.30pm. They are looking for staff members who can commit to full time, or even 1-4 days per week.

Person Specification
- Experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs either in a school or similar setting.
- Be willing to provide all aspects of personal care.
- Have confidence working with students who display challenging behaviours.
- Be confident working in accordance with individualised learning plans.
- Have a full enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one.
