Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Mansfield
School Type: SEND Schools working with various disabilities from ASD, ADHD and other learning Disabilities – non-behavioural.
Start Date: Start of Summer Term (June 1st)
Duration: Temporary-Permanent. Please note, applicants must be available Monday-Friday and looking for a role to turn permanent.
School details:
This is a non-behavioural SEN school in Mansfield with an Ofsted ‘Good’ rating. The school is part of the Nexus Trust and supports pupils ages 11 to 18. Students follow the National Curriculum, aided by smaller class sizes and specialist support. Additionally, resilliance is prioritised. The school is looking for someone with experience working with SEN needs (a school enviornment is welcomed, but not essential) and must be available to work Monday to Friday. This position is temporary-permanent, meaning you must be willing to transition to a full time role.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Having GCSE grade C or above at Math’s And English or equivalent
- Experience of working with SEND pupils and ability to demonstrate an understanding of SEND requirements or worked in care with vulnerable adults or challenging behaviour
- Have a good understanding of positive behaviour support and how to regulate behaviours which may challenge
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
- The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teaching assistant
