Job Title: Special Education Needs Tutor- EHCP Support

Location: Across Herefordshire

Position Type: Part-Time, hours can be flexible 10 hours per week

About us:

Connex Education is dedicated to connecting talented educators with schools and educational institutions in need. We are currently seeking a SEN Tutor to join a local authority in helping pupils who cannot attend school.

As a SEN Tutor, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized support to pupils with EHCPs, focusing on addressing their unique educational needs. The successful candidate must be highly skilled in supporting pupils with behaviour needs, particularly those with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and Autism.


–        Provide support to facilitate a positive learning environment.

–        Deliver one-on-one tuition outside of the classroom, focusing on academic improvement.

–        Work on enhancing social skills.

–        Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the pupil’s individual needs and learning style.

Qualifications and Experience:

–        Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or other relevant teaching qualifications.

–        A strong background in special educational needs (SEN) support.

–        DBS certification (or you’re ready to get one).

–        2 years minimum experience Teaching

–        Prior experience working with pupils who have ADHD, ODD, and Autism.

–        Adaptability in tailoring teaching strategies to meet individual pupil requirements.

–        A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs and promoting their progress.
