SEND Teaching Assistants Required

Daily Rate – £85+ Depending on experience.
Connex Education is looking for compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team working within a SEND School in Sheffield
Role Overview: We are looking for caring and skilled Teaching Assistants to provide essential academic support and personal care to students with complex needs for KS3 and KS4 pupils
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the classroom, helping students with complex needs in their learning and development.
- Provide personal care to students, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Support students individually or in small groups to achieve their specific learning objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Promote the social and emotional well-being of students, assisting them in developing vital life skills.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with complex needs is essential.
- Relevant qualifications in education, healthcare, childcare, or special educational needs are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in providing personal care.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
