About the Role
- SEND Teaching Assistant
- 8.30 until 3.30
- Long term placement, must be able to work Monday to Friday
- Supporting SEND pupils with physical disabilities
- KS1 through to Further Education
- Staff who have worked at the school say the school is great school to work and the staff are supportive
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons, having moving and handling experience would be an advantage also being happy to do personal care
- Supporting pupils one-to-one or in small groups to enhance learning.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom organization.
- Supporting children with additional learning needs where required.

Person Specification
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- A L2/L3 Teaching Assistant qualification and/or exceptional relatable experience of working as a Teaching Assistant.
- Experience of working as a teaching Assistant in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms.
- Full enhanced DBS certificate.
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process.
- The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teaching assistant.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong rapport building skills, with pupils and with co-workers.
- A minimum of 2 school based references
