About the role
Connex Education is partnering with a SEND school in Caerphilly to recruit an experienced SEND Teacher. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils how have a range of learning needs such as ALN and SEMH. You will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons, supporting individual pupil needs, and ensuring an inclusive, positive learning environment.
About the school
Our partner school is a special day school maintained by Rhondda Cynon Taff local authority. The school provides education for pupils aged 3-19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder and severe learning difficulties. The school opened in 1978, taking pupils with severe learning difficulties. The school has since developed, and we now take a range of pupils with additional learning needs. We have approximately 250 pupils on role. There are discrete autistic classes and an assessment foundation class, in addition to sensory classes and learners who are in Post 16.
Assignment details
Your role will include plan and deliver effective lessons based on pupils’ individual needs and abilities. Provide one to one and group support, monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed. More importantly maintain a positive and inclusive environment.
