Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Barking & Dagenham
Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Supply
Daily Pay: £160-200 (dependent on experience)
Connex Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher for a special school located in Barking and Dagenham. This presents an exceptional opportunity for educators with a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities, supported by a supportive Senior Leadership Team committed to the well-being of both their students & staff.
Role and Responsibilities:
– Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
– Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
– Execute Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and actively contribute to the ongoing assessment and review process.
– Maintain regular communication with parents, carers, and external agencies as necessary to support student progress.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
– Previous experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is a prerequisite.
– Possess a strong understanding of SEND strategies, interventions, and best practices.
– Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
– Demonstrate the ability to adapt teaching approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.
