SEND Teaching Assistant
£440 – £475 per week based on experience
Location: Chesterfield
Monday to Friday – 8:30am – 3:30pm

Connex are currently looking a dedicated and empathetic SEND Teaching Assistant for one of the primary schools we currently work with and help make a real difference in the lives of children with SEND. You will be a 1-1 SEND Teaching Assistant with a child in Y1 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), he has an EHCP and is under SaLT and the Educational Psychologist.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide one-on-one, both in and outside of the classroom.
- Assist with creating and delivering tailored learning plans that suit the needs of individual student.
- Help manage and adapt the learning environment to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for the student.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement effective strategies for progress.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing with the SEND student.
- Support the student in developing social skills and participating in classroom activities

**Role Requirements**
- Previous experience working with SEN Students would be desirable.
- Team Teach trained would also be desirable.
- Previous experience working in Educational is essential.
- A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom.
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
