Connex Education is working with a mainstream primary school in the Hartlepool area who are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time, working with a child with SEND needs on a 1:1 basis. You MUST have the right to work in the UK to apply for this role.
About the school
A Hartlepool primary school seeks a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs. You’ll work closely with the SENCO, contribute to education health care plans, and join a supportive team of specialists. The role involves working with individuals and small groups in a nurturing environment focused on helping every child thrive.
Assignment Details
This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, the right candidate MUST be able to work form 8:30am – 3:30pm. Experience working in KS2 is essential for this role however we will also consider KS1 experience. This role will be ongoing with a September start.

Person Specification
- Hold a Relevant Qualification in SEND or Teaching Assistant – desirable
- Have experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting
- Be confident working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Good Knowledge of different types of Special Needs
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one with Connex
