SEND Teaching Assistant

£425-£475 per week depending on experience
About the role:
Connex Education are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a SEND School in Wirral who cater for pupils aged between 11-19 years with Autism and PMLD. This role will commence in September 2025.

This purpose built School offers quality Education in a stimulating and highly engaging learning environment which nutures, supports and challenges the pupils to develop into sucessful young adults who are independant.
Assignment details:
This role will consist of working the the PMLD pathway, supporting pupils with profound,multiple,learning disabilities. This is a full time role and will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm. This is a temp-perm role.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting children or young adults with PMLD in a School or in a residential setting.
- Be able to help with wheelchairs, hoists and personal care.
- Able to use a range of communication methods , including visuals.
- Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
