Job Role: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £425 – £550 per week (dependent on experience and length of time in role)

Connex Education are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant who has experience of supporting young persons with Severe Learning Needs, inparticularly Autism
About the School:
We are working with a SEND School in Widnes who cater for pupils who cater for primary aged students. The School offers a child centered approach to learning, celebrating achievements and promoting independence. Staff at this school are dedicated to providing high quality care and education, through a bespoke curriculum whilst adhering to each individual EHCP.
Assignment details:
This role is full-time and commence ASAP. The hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. This role will require a the successful applicant to work within the classroom with all students, but specific 1:1 support if needed.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting pupils with Autism
- Be understanding and empathetic with the ability to help children self -regulate
- Able to use different styles of communication as some pupils are non-verbal
- Be able to contribute to observations
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
