About the role:
Connex Education are working with a primary School in Southport who have a SEND resource provision which caters for pupils with Autism. They are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible to cover a long term absence.
About the School:
This excellent faith School is in the heart of the community, they have a 24 place provision for pupils diagnosed with ASD. All who have EHCP’s. In the base, the staff are committed to enable children to flourish and to develop independence. This is a calm and nurturing provision that follow a themed concepts curriculum which is personalised and bespoke to meet the individual needs of the pupils.
Assignment details:
This is a full-time role and will commence asap. This will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. There is chance of a direct contract for the right candidate. This is ideal for a TA who has experience of supporting ASD pupils and who want to make a difference in a positive learning environment.

Person specification:
• Experience of supporting pupils with Autism.
• Be understanding and empathetic with the ability to help pupils self -regulate.
• Promoting life skills and empowering pupils by building confidence.
• Be engaging and using a person-centered approach.
• Be willing to work as a team and collaborate with families to implement behaviour management strategies.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
