About the role
Connex Education is in partnership with a vibrant SEND School within the Chesterfield area to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant providing 1:1 support to work on a regular relief cover basis starting ASAP.
You will have strong teamwork skills as the school in question has a key focus on teamwork and collaboration to be able to achieve student and school goals. A key ethos and aim for this school are to ensure all learners are provided focused support to ensure excellent progress is made.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of each child. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse needs.

Person Specification
- Experience working in an educational or care environment with children aged between 4 and 19 years.
- Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children
- Have behaviour management skills
- Be organised and reliable
- Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
- Willing to go the extra mile!
