About the Role
Connex Education is working with a secondary mainstream school in Nottingham that is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide long-term support. The role will involve working closely with students who require additional support, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, within a mainstream secondary setting.

Assignment Details
The role is due to start as soon as possible, pending clearance, and will run on a full-time, long-term basis. Working hours are Monday to Friday during standard school hours.
You will be supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, assisting with classroom learning, behaviour management, and providing additional interventions where required. The role may also involve supporting students with EHCPs and delivering tailored learning strategies under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.

Person Specification
• Have experience supporting pupils within a mainstream or SEN setting
• Be passionate about supporting students with additional needs
• Be willing to provide personal care where required
• Be confident working with challenging behaviour
• Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude
• Be able to commute to Nottingham and surrounding areas
