The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND department to support students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
You will provide both in-class support and targeted interventions, helping students access learning, build confidence, and make meaningful academic and personal progress.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting students with additional learning and emotional needs
• Assisting teachers in adapting resources and lessons
• Promoting positive behaviour in line with school policy
• Building strong, trusting relationships with students
• Supporting students’ academic and personal development
