The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to support students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
You will provide both in-class and targeted intervention support, helping students access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting students with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
• Assisting with differentiated and adapted learning materials
• Encouraging independence and engagement
• Promoting a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
• Supporting students’ academic and personal development
