Connex Education is in partnership with a secondary SEND School within the Sheffield area to recruit SEND Teaching Assistants on a full time basis providing 1:1 or group support to work on a supply basis starting ASAP.

Working closely with teachers and staff, you will help create a positive environment that nurtures the academic, social, and emotional development of each child — supporting every student to communicate effectively, develop confidence, and become an active citizen within their community.
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with SEND in a dynamic and inclusive classroom setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of each child. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse needs.

Person Specification
- Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 11 and 19 years.
- Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children
- Have behaviour management skills
- Be organised and reliable
- Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
- Willing to go the extra mile!
