I am working with a SEND School in Chester who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them on a full time basis. Working from 8.30am – 3.30pm, this role has an immediate start for the right candidate.

The school provide high quality education and emotional support for students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Staff work together to provide a community for students, encouraging them to understand their emotions and think about their next steps. This school does follow the National Curriculum.

As the successful applicant, you will be required to work with a small number of year 8 students, both inside and outsite of the classroom in order to help them break down barriers to learning. You will be expected to provide academic and pastoral support to students, ensuring they reach their goals. You will be expected to liase with parents, staff members and healthcare professionals, to ensure students get the most from their time at this school.

In order to apply for this role, you must have experience working with SEMH / compex behaviours in either a residential or educational setting, and any relevant training / qualifications would be advantageous when applying. You must have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
