SEND Teaching Assistant with Level 3 qualification

About the role
Connex Education works with various schools across the Nottingham area to provide specialist support staff.
We are currently seeking an experienced Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to work primarily as a 1:1 SEND support, with flexibility to work across all age groups if required. The role involves providing specialized support to children in Y1, with High Level Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), while also being able to assist with general classroom duties when required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in children’s educational journeys across different key stages.
Assignment Details
- Full-time position available for immediate start
- Primary focus on 1:1 SEND support
- Work across all age groups from Early Years to Y6 if required
- Additional classroom support duties as needed
- Term-time position
Person Specification
Essential requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Understanding of or experience with SEND support
- Ability to adapt support strategies for different age groups
- Strong communication skills to work with teaching staff and parents
- Flexibility to support both individual and group activities
