About the role
Connex Education is working with a SEND provision responsible for looked after children, who are recruiting for a SEND Tutor to work one 2 one with students across the local authority. The role will be 5 days per week between the hours of 8.30am – 4pm
About the school
The school maintains oversight for students across the local authority who have a social worker, are a looked-after child or previously looked-after. The schools promotes the educational needs of the children and young people and work with multiple agencies to deliver positive outcomes and educational progress.
Assignment details
The role of a SEND tutor is to commence after Easter and will last for the remainder of the academic year.

Person Specification
- Previous experience of working with SEND students is essential for this role
- A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom and being able to differentiate lessons to suit
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
