Job Title: Sensory Teacher
Location: Rubery
Pay Rate: £20 – £25 per hour (plus paid PPA time)
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities available
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher with a strong background in supporting pupils with sensory needs to join our team as a Home Tutor in Rubery.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering personalised, one-to-one education for pupil(s) who require a tailored, sensory-aware approach to learning in a home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of each pupil
- Implement strategies to support sensory processing differences and create a calm, structured learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to suit each learner’s communication style and emotional needs
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to families and relevant professionals
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external support services
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is ideal
- Proven experience working with children or young people with sensory needs (e.g. autism, sensory processing difficulties)
- Strong understanding of adaptive teaching strategies and inclusive practice
- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
