Connex education has an exciting job role for a qualified teacher to work one to one in a secondary school supporting students who have been out of school for some time. Several of the students will have an educational health care plan (EHCP) which will have set learning outcomes, whereas other students will not have a plan and you will be expected to work closely with the relevant staff within the school to find the best way of supporting individual needs.
You will be required to adapt the curriculum to suit a student with special or behavioral needs and create suitable sessions that will develop their learning. The ideal candidate will be experienced working in a similar role. As a Reintegration teacher, it is essential that you have a dynamic teaching style and can identify areas of improvement required when working on a 1:1 basis.
Location: Yardley Wood, B14
Placement Type: Long term / Permanent
Working hours: 8:30 – 15:30.
Start date: ASAP.
Experience/ Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent
- Minimum 3 months experience within a special school setting
- Driving license (Preferred)
- Ability to plan engaging lesson plans and have high expectations for students learning
- Restraint training (Preferred)
- Valid DBS which is ideally on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one
Requirements:
- Qualified teaching status (QTS/ QTLS)

- Experience working within a special needs school (3 months minimum)
