£400 – £500 per week (depending on qualifications and experience)
About the Role
Connex Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Swadlincote (DE11) to recruit a Teaching Assistant, starting after Easter. The school is focused on creating an inclusive environment, with particular emphasis on supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those needing personal care. We are ideally looking for someone with a strong SEND or care background to provide the best support for the children.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support children in their learning and personal development, making a positive difference in their educational journey.
Assignment Details
• Start Date: After Easter
• Contract Type: Regular relief cover (full-time or part-time options)
• Responsibilities: Supporting children with SEN, including personal care, 1:1 and small group work

Person Specification
• Experience working with children aged 4–11 years
• Strong background in SEND or care and experience with personal care
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to process a new one)
