I am looking for a Teacher to work in a SEN school in Nortwich. This is working 5 days per week and due to start after the Easter holidays. This role has the potential to turn permanent.
Catering for children with various additional needs, the school provide excellent support and education to both primary and secondary ages students. The staff here are excellent role models, helping studen’ts to become responsible citizens and as independent as possible. The school has faciltities onsite to ensure students are safe, happy and stimulated, such as sensory rooms (light and dark), a hydrotherapy pool and access to forest school. The staff team is made up teachers, specialised support staff and healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and speech and language therapists.
As the successful applicant, you will be working in a Key Stage 2 class with a small number of students – there will also be 3 Teaching Assistants in the room at all times. You will be expected to lead the class, liase with support staff and parents, adhering to EHCPs and writing reports. Although you will be responsible for the whole class, there will be plenty of support with planning. Due to the nature of this school, there will be no marking of work. In order to apply for this role, you must have experience of working with SEN and strong classroom management skills. You will need a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one. Both ECTs and experienced Teachers are invited to apply for this vacancy.
