Teacher of the Deaf – South Birmingham (Home Tuition)

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of the Deaf to support pupils across their homes in South Birmingham. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with hearing impairments, helping them to achieve their full potential.
The Role
You will work with pupils on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored support to meet their individual communication and learning needs. This may include working collaboratively with families and external professionals to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and support for pupils with hearing impairments
- Adapt lessons and resources to meet individual needs
- Support the development of communication skills
- Monitor and report on pupil progress
- Promote inclusion and equal access to education
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is preferred
- Experience working with children or young people with hearing impairments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability for at least 4 working days per week
