About the Role
Connex Education is working with a primary school in Birkenhead that is recruiting for a part-time Teaching Assistant to work three days a week, starting in September. This role will run for the entire academic year for the right candidate.

Assignment Details
In this role, you will support pupils across the school, from EYFS to Year 6, through a variety of targeted interventions. These include:
- Phonics, literacy, and numeracy support for small groups and individual pupils
- SEN support, working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO
- Behavioural support to help pupils manage routines and expectations
- Assisting with classroom preparation and activities
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to staff
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment

Person Specification
- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will be considered
- GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English
- Experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting
- Experience working with children with SEN
- A patient, consistent, and supportive approach
- Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one
