Role: Year 4 Teaching Assistant
Location: Southport
Salary: £430-£450 per week
Working Days: Monday-Friday (January 2026 – July 2026)
Connex Education is working in partnership a primary school in Southport who are looking for a teaching assistant to start full-time from January 2026.
About the School:
Connex Education have been working with this primary for the past three years and many of our staff have been taken on contract from temp-to-perm roles. With excellent support systems in place and a warm and welcoming learning environment, Connex Education have seen our teaching assistants grow and progress in their respective careers while working in the school.
About the role:
Connex Education are seeking a calm, nurturing, and adaptable teaching assistant to support a child in Year 4. Experience supporting children with ASD is essential for this role. As a Year 4 teaching assistant, you will work closely with a supportive team (class teacher and SENCO) to provide tailored support, while contributing towards an inclusive learning environment in Year 4.

Qualifications and requirements:
- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable.
- Experience supporting children with SEN is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to adapt to different learning needs.
- It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
