About the role
Connex Education is recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible agency basis across a range of primary schools in the Whitby area.
About the opportunities
We work with a variety of primary schools that cater for children in their early years, providing stimulating learning environments. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children in Nursery and Reception classes and also within KS1 & KS2, helping them develop key skills through play-based learning, structured activities and KS1 & 2 curriculum content.
All schools within our network are committed to providing young learners with a nurturing and engaging experience. We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are passionate about early childhood education, understand child development, and who want to make a positive impact during these crucial formative years.
Assignment Details
These are flexible agency positions offering you the choice of full-time, part-time or day-to-day supply work to suit your availability and lifestyle needs.

Person Specification
- Essential: Experience working with School aged children and/or relevant TA/ Childcare qualifications
- Knowledge of EYFS / KS1 or KS2 frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must hold a DBS on update service or willing to apply for one.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage young children in learning.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to different school settings.
- Good organization and multitasking abilities.
