About the Role

Connex Education is working with a Primary School in Bromborough seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support in their EYFS classroom. Your responsibilities will include supporting in the classroom and taking interventions. You will be taking small groups for both maths and phonics interventions.

A nurturing, calm, and patient approach is key.

Assignment Details

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday, starting ASAP in January 2026. The assignment is expected to run until February half term at first, with the potential to extend for the right candidate.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.

  • Observant and reflective, able to recognise and respond to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.
  • Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in a school setting.
  • Committed to continuous personal development and open to feedback and training.
