SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Bury St Edmunds
Pay: £88 per day (PAYE)

We are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Bury St Edmunds supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), complex needs and communication difficulties.

The school has small class sizes (typically 6–8 pupils), high staff ratios and a strong focus on structure, routine and individual support. There are sensory rooms, outdoor learning spaces and a supportive leadership team.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with SEND in class
• Assisting with communication and emotional regulation
• Following EHCP targets and structured routines
• Working closely with teachers and therapists

Requirements

• Experience with SEND, care, youth work or similar (professional or personal)
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills
• Team player with a positive attitude

Enhanced DBS required.
