About the Role
Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our agency, working across the Wirral, for the new academic year in September 2026. We are working in partnership with fantastic local primary schools looking for support staff to join their dedicated teams across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff and have access to ongoing professional development through Connex Education.
Assignment Details

Person Specification
Qualifications
- A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.

- Builds positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff to support teaching & learning.
- Committed to maintaining consistency in learning and behaviour expectations.
- Adapts to pupils’ varying needs and supports inclusion.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and consistency when supporting pupils of varying needs and abilities.
- Sound understanding of classroom roles, routines, and expectations, and how to contribute effectively to these.
- Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in a school setting.
