About the Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children during their early years of education. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can flourish. To commence ASAP and is full-time until end of the Academic year, with a view to becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Support children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support where needed.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- A positive, patient, and caring approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification (desirable).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
