About the Role
Are you ready to make a real difference as a Teaching Assistant?
Connex Education is working with a primary school based in Birkenhead, on the Wirral, who are seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to support in their Foundation 1 classroom.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Level 3 Early Years qualification and have experience working with children within EYFS – either in a nursery or school setting- and have strong skills managing behaviour and have a good understanding of SEN needs.
You will be taking small groups for phonics, and on occasions if the teacher has to step out of the class, you would need to have strong skills to manage the class for short periods.

Assignment Details
This role runs Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm). The position starts September 2026 and will continue until December 2026.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
