**About the role**
We are seeking a caring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a mainstream primary school. You will provide tailored classroom support, encourage communication, independence, and social development, and help the pupil manage occasional minor self-injurious behaviours (SIB) using agreed strategies. Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team, you will promote positive behaviour, monitor progress, and help create a safe, supportive learning environment where the pupil can thrive.

**Role Requirements**
- Supporting Teaching and Learning or Equivalent UK Educational qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience working in Educational is essential.
- A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
- Experience supporting SEN is required
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
