Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for two pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within a welcoming and inclusive mainstream Key Stage 2 setting.
This rewarding role involves supporting one Year 3 pupil and one Year 6 pupil, helping them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for two pupils with autism (Year 3 and Year 6).
- Adapt learning activities to meet each pupil’s individual needs.
- Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to deliver personalised support.
- Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism (desirable).
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
- A genuine passion for supporting children to succeed.
