KS1 Teaching Assistant

Connex Education is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils within Key Stage 1 at a welcoming primary school in Derby.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident TA who can work effectively alongside the class teacher, support pupils with their learning and contribute to a positive classroom environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Support pupils across the KS1 curriculum
- Work closely with the class teacher
- Help pupils develop confidence and independence
- Provide individual and small-group support where required
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Contribute effectively to the wider school team

- Previous experience working within KS1
- A patient, nurturing and consistent approach
- Strong communication skills
- Good classroom awareness
- Reliability and professionalism
- A genuine passion for supporting children
