Connex Education Partnership is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to provide classroom support to schools in the Burton-upon-Trent area. We are looking for an individual who has high aspirations for students, and who has the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of pupils.
As part of this role, you will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes. You will be responsible for enabling access to learning for pupils, and you will assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

You choose the days you would like to work, week-to-week, and we can offer you the roles that suit you best; whether you prefer working with younger or older children, in one-to-one positions or as a general class teaching assistant, we work to find you your ideal position. Roles we offer are part-time or full-time, and day-to-day or long-term, according to your preference.
For this position, we ask that you have the following:
- At least 3 months’ recent classroom experience with primary-aged children
- The ability to work under guidance of the class teacher, but also to your own initiative
- A commitment to supporting all children to reach their full potential
- Knowledge of SEND, or experience of working with SEND children
- A willingness to undertake additional training and CPD
- A DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one
- 2 professional references.
