Connex - Warrington

I am working with a school in Runcorn, who are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant, who has experience working with Autism. This is a full time role, with an immediate start – Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm.

The school I am working with caters for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties, inparticularly autism. The school promote independence for all pupils and has a real sense of community. They believe in personalised learning, to ensure all students have the tools they need to reach their full potential both inside and outside of the school environment. The school have a strong supportive network of parents and specialised staff, aswell as state of the art facilities onsite, including sensory rooms and an excellent outdoor play area.

Working with secondary aged students, the successful Teaching Assistant would be working with a number of students within the classroom, providing both learning and emotional support. Under the direction of the class teacher, it would be your role to ensure all students are happy and comfortable. On occassion, you may be expected to work within another classroom and that may involve providing intimate care.

To apply for this role, you must have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
